| CSE, through a cooperative agreement with the NSF, is establishing and maintaining the Discovery Research K–12 learning resource network, known as CADRE. The goals are to advance the state of research and evaluation in STEM education and to move forward the goals of the DR-K12 program. CADRE provides support services to grantees from the DR-K12 program, which enhances student and teacher learning of the STEM disciplines through the development, implementation, and study of resources, models, and technologies. CADRE enables grantees to learn from colleagues in the DR-K12 PI community, the larger STEM education community, and collaborating organizations (EDC, Abt Associates, and Policy Studies Associates).
Over five years, CADRE will (1) conduct an assessment of the DR-K12 portfolio and synthesize findings; (2) conduct thematic research and evaluative studies of the work within the DR-K12 portfolio of projects; (3) provide opportunities for professional growth in research, development, and evaluation methods, implementation, and analysis procedures; and (4) assist with the dissemination and scale-up of the results of DR-K12 projects both within the program and with national research, practice, and policy communities. | |
