Discovery Research K12 (DR-K12) Program

Project Description Guidelines

All DR-K12 PIs are expected to complete a project description. Participants from past meetings have indicated that reviewing their colleagues’ project descriptions helps them to identify projects they find interesting and PIs to meet. If you have previously submitted a project description, it will be available to update during the annual PI Meeting registration process. PIs for projects for which we have no project descriptions on file have the opportunity to submit theirs during online registration.

Guidelines for completing the project descriptions are listed below.

Please note when writing your project description that the information you provide will be included on the DR-K12 Web site, which will be accessible to meeting participants and the public. Therefore, please use reader-friendly language. In an attempt to reduce paper waste, this year we will not distribute printed copies of the descriptions at the meeting. Provide as much detail as you can about each aspect of your work as listed below. If you have deliverables such as products, papers, or findings, include specific information about how the item or information can be accessed.
